Sam Pittman provides information on Myles Slusher’s departure from team

Shocking news dropped regarding Arkansas safety Myles Slusher during the Razorbacks’ final regular season game against Missouri, as the CBS broadcast confirmed he left the program and did not travel with the team on Friday.
After the disappointing loss to cap their scheduled slate, Arkansas leader Sam Pittman provided some more information on Slusher’s departure from the team.
“He came in, we visited on Sunday and Sunday evening he quit the team,” explained Pittman. “… That’s it. I don’t want to talk about that anymore.”

Evidently, it’s a sore subject for Pittman, and one that he doesn’t want to elaborate on too much, as he’s only focused on the members of the Razorbacks moving forward.
Regardless, Slusher, a junior, reportedly left the team earlier in the week, according to Pig Trail Nation. He appeared in six games this season, totaling 28 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks for the Razorbacks.

In a now-deleted tweet, Slusher responded to a report saying he “quit” the team.
“Quitt??” Slusher wrote. “If anybody know me fr I put people before myself before anything. Always been that way ain’t never been selfish always a team player in all phases of life. Everything ain’t always what it seem. Can the people yall praise in life say the same? #lastresponse”
As a recruit, Slusher was a four-star prospect and the No. 170 overall recruit from the class of 2020, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Nevertheless, Arkansas wasn’t able to get the job done against Missouri on Friday, but will now look towards waiting to find out which bowl they’re selected for moving forward. Myles Slusher won’t be there, but the rest of the Razorbacks will be ready and willing to go to battle for Pittman.
