Sam Pittman says he 'really likes' 2023 recruiting class

Sam Pittman really likes the 2023 recruiting class for Arkansas football. The head coach raved about his new group of guys after National Signing Day.
After a down year based on expectations, a quick turnaround for the Razorbacks is not out of the realm of possibility, despite being in a deep division. The new class ended up in the top 25 nationwide, giving the Razorbacks a nice crop of players.
Pittman opened up about the work ethic of the young kids coming to campus.
“I like this class,” Pittman said. “Eight of them aren’t here, but this class here I’m talking about the high school kids and I liked the college guys too, but the high school kids this was as good as a class … I’m talking about work ethic, non needy class. It’s only 12. So you’ll have to ask me again when the other eight get here, but just a group that wants to work. I really really like this class. They’re a mature group of guys.”
Arkansas had the No. 23 overall recruiting class, per the On3 Database. The team did not land a five-star prospect, but had six four-star prospects.
Jaylon Braxton was the prize in the class. He is a four-star prospect out of Frisco (Texas) Lone Star and was the No. 8 overall cornerback in the class.

2024 LB Zavier Hamilton announces top 10 schools
The 2023 recruiting class was solid for Pittman and Arkansas and 2024 could land another stud defender.
Gulf Breeze (Fla.) Navarre three-star linebacker Zavier Hamilton announced his top 10 schools Friday afternoon. The list includes Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas, LSU, Michigan State, Notre Dame, South Carolina and UCF.
Hamilton is the No. 425 overall prospect and No. 39 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 64 player in Florida.
Hamilton currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $26K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
