LOOK: Sam Pittman reveals light show after Arkansas stuns top-seeded Gonzaga
The Arkansas Razorbacks pulled off one of their biggest wins in program history on Thursday night, stunning the top-seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs, 74-68 in their Sweet 16 matchup. The Hogs head football coach Sam Pittman was watching the epic upset and he decided to unveil a secret on Twitter a little bit after the game.
The Arkansas Razorbacks pulled out a win that surely torched brackets across the country. With the upset victory, Arkansas advanced to the Elite Eight for the second consecutive season. The Razorbacks forced the Zags into 15 turnovers and the Hogs played impressive defense all night long.

Arkansas was paced by 21 points from their star guard, JD Notae. While he poured in 21 points, he did so on 9-of-29 shooting. He had a number of impressive plays throughout the night, including an epic chase down block of Gonzaga’s Rasir Bolton in the first half. Notae also stuffed the stat sheet with six rebounds, six assists, three steals, and two blocks. The win on Thursday night was the first for Arkansas in program history against a No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Arkansas did a good job of shutting Chet Holmgren down
Arkansas held the Bulldogs to just 23.8 percent from 3-point range and 37.5 percent from the floor in the win. The Razorbacks also affected the game by getting Gonzaga star and projected No. 1 NBA Draft pick Chet Holmgren in foul trouble, limiting his impact on the game. Holmgren played just 23 minutes as he dealt with the fouls, finishing with 11 points and 14 rebounds. He fouled out with 3:29 remaining in the game, as Arkansas hit its free throws to close out the game with a victory.
Arkansas will face the winner of the Duke/Texas Tech game in the Elite Eight.
