Taylen Green is good to go for Saturday’s primetime matchup between Arkansas and LSU. He is off the Razorbacks’ availability report, which came out Wednesday evening.

Green left Arkansas’ Week 6 upset win over Tennessee with a knee injury, although Sam Pittman said he likely avoided ligament damage. While speaking on the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday, Pittman said Green’s status was still to be determined against LSU, but his absence from the availability report is a sign he’s ready to jump back under center out of the bye.

Green has a bone bruise, Pittman previously said, and has shown some good things in practice in the lead-up to the LSU game. It’s safe to say he’ll be ready to go for Saturday’s affair, which will be at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

“I have been encouraged about how he’s practiced,” Pittman said. “He’s still not full speed yet but we certainly think there’s a possibility that he can get there. We’ll have to wait and see there. Obviously we have two more practices and a walk, but have been encouraged about his progression this week.”

Green is in his first year at Arkansas after transferring from Boise State. He has become the centerpiece of Bobby Petrino’s offense in Fayetteville, entering Saturday’s matchup with 1,502 passing yards and five touchdowns while adding 326 rushing yards and four touchdowns. That comes after three years at Boise State, where he spent two years as the starter and threw for 3,794 yards.

Taylen Green was the biggest absence from Arkansas’ Wednesday availability report against LSU. The Razorbacks only listed two names on the first injury report of the week.
