Taylen Green, Ja'Quinden Jackson injury updates: Sam Pittman provides latest timeline
Sam Pittman is likely thankful for the bye week as two of Arkansas‘ key offensive players are currently going through injuries. Quarterback Taylen Green and running back Ja’Quinden Jackson are banged up following the Ole Miss loss but with no game on Saturday, the duo can recover. And with the next game being a renewed rivalry against Texas, getting them back is crucial.
An update on Green and Jackson was provided on Wednesday by Pittman, admitting neither guy would play if Arkansas were to be playing over the weekend. But for now, nothing is definite about their status against Texas. Pittman expects to have more information on Monday.

“I still think we’re a few days away from both of those game, determining what their ability to play against Texas would be,” Pittman said. “I can tell you this, I don’t know if either one of them would be able to play if we were playing Saturday.
“So, I think, without avoiding the question and giving you a true answer, I think we still have to wait until probably Monday of next week to see exactly where we are at with those two guys. Taylen’s got a sprained knee and certainly, JJ has got that ankle. They were out in the walk through yesterday but don’t know if they’ll be available for practice today.”
