Texas A&M tight end Jaden Platt commits to Transfer to Arkansas
Texas A&M Aggies tight end Jaden Platt has committed to transfer to the Arkansas Razorbacks, On3 has learned.
Jaden Platt played his high school football at Eaton in Texas. While there, he was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2023, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. He was the 13th-ranked tight end and the 237th-ranked player nationally in that recruiting cycle.
While in high school, Platt earned UIL 6A Honorable Mention state honors as a junior and helped lead Eaton to an 8-3 record and a UIL 6A D-II first-round playoff appearance.
Jaden Platt first got to Texas A&M in 2023. In his two seasons there, he played in nine total games and had two receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown. Both of those catches came during his freshman season, which saw him play in three games to use a redshirt. For the most part, he’s been a special teams player for the Aggies.
During the two years that Jaden Platt was at Texas A&M, the school underwent a coaching change, moving on from Jimbo Fisher and replacing him with Mike Elko. With that, Platt spent the first two seasons of his time in college under two different coaching staffs.

In the 2024 regular season, Texas A&M’s tight ends were led by Tre Watson in receiving with 18 receptions for 238 yards and a touchdown. He was one of three Aggies tight ends to record a catch. However, he was just fifth overall on the team in receiving.
Jaden Platt now joins an Arkansas team that went 6-6 and is currently preparing to play in the Liberty Bowl.
In the 2025 cycle, Arkansas has lost 26 players to the Transfer Portal and added five players as transfers to its class. Of course, there is still plenty of time for the Razorbacks to continue to add to its class throughout the offseason.
Jaden Platt has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
