Tim Tebow on how Arkansas can upset Texas: 'It starts with Taylen Green'
The Texas Longhorns are traveling to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 12, and Tim Tebow recognizes the stage is being set for an exciting SEC clash.
Texas has designs on making it to the College Football Playoff, but Arkansas has a high ceiling they’re also trying to reach at the moment. Ahead of the showdown, Tebow took some time to explain how he believes the Razorbacks can pull-off an upset on Saturday afternoon.
“It starts with Taylen Green,” Tebow stated, via SportsCenter. “He’s one of the most athletic quarterbacks in the country. His ability to maneuver in the pocket, but then also extend on the outside and make people miss — it’s just silly. It’s an uncanny ability to make it look super easy and outrun everybody. He’s got to play well, and he has throughout this season, but it’s been hit and miss. When this kid is on, he is extremely dangerous with his arm, but then also he is so scary with his legs.
“Then you flip the other side of the ball, and this defense has to get pressure. When they’ve been at their best, they’ve been getting to quarterbacks, but if you don’t get to Quinn Ewers — he’s one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the country, they’ve got to be able to find a way to disrupt him. If they do, they’ve got a chance in this one.”

As Tebow mentioned, Green has certainly been impressive in 2024. The Arkansas quarterback has passed for 2,214 yards and 11 touchdowns, while rushing for 411 yards and five touchdowns, as well. He’ll need to keep up the fantastic play, with his arm and his legs, if the Razorbacks have any shot against Texas.
At 5-4 on the season, Arkansas can clinch bowl-eligibility with a win at home on Saturday, in grand fashion against Texas. Taylen Green will be at the center of it all if they do, and Tim Tebow will be watching with a keen eye in Week 12.
