WATCH: Arkansas trolls Texas Football in savage fashion
Every year the Texas football team enters with high expectations it seems, and Arkansas took that opportunity to troll the Longhorns. And every year we discover early in the season that Texas, in fact, isn’t back, despite what Longhorns fans claim.
That rang true again in 2021, as Arkansas handed the No. 15 Longhorns a 40-21 loss on Saturday. The Razorbacks had some fun with the Texas faithful, posting this video on Twitter after the game.
The victory was Arkansas’ first against a top 15 opponent since 2016. They also defeated during the last matchup between the two squads in 2014.
Razorback quarterback KJ Jefferson made plays with his arm as well as his feet in the win. He finished with 138 yards passing and an interception to go with 10 carries for 73 rushing yards.
The Razorbacks won with a valiant effort from their defense, which held the Longhorns to 256 yards of total offense. Starting quarterback Hudson Card finished with only 61 yards through the air.
Arkansas also did a nice job stopping the run, as it held star running back Bijan Robinson to just 69 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

The Razorbacks did the majority of their damage in this one on the ground, totaling 333 yards on the ground. All four of their touchdowns were of the rushing variety.
The victory is one of a monumental magnitude for the Razorbacks. After entering 2020 in the midst of a historic SEC losing streak, Arkansas won its second game of the season against Mississippi State. The victory against the Longhorns is further proof that the program is back to playing the kind of football fans are used to.
When a team trolls another team, it only make college football more fun and that’s exactly the case here between Arkansas and Texas.
The Razorbacks next face Georgia Southern at 3 p.m. CST next Saturday. Texas will get a chance to bounce back when it takes on Rice at 7 p.m. CST the same day.
