WATCH: Police body cam footage of Anthony Brown, Myles Slusher arrests released
Footage of the arrests of Arkansas football players Anthony Brown and Myles Slusher — recorded on police-worn body cameras — has been released. Both were arrested on the night of Saturday, Nov. 6.
The footage shows Brown, wearing a white hoodie, standing on the street next to the curb amid a crowd of students. The police officer, per reports, told him to get off the street which he did before stepping back in the street. At this point the officer grabbed Brown’s sleeve to get him off the street when he retaliated, pushing the officer back.
The video shows an officer approaching Brown as he stands by the curb speaking to teammates, though there is no audio to determine what was said until after they were already on the ground. He grabs Brown by the sleeve and moves him to the sidewalk, at which point the Arkansas player swipes his arm away and shoves him.
Slusher was subsequently arrested for trying to pull an officer away from the scene as they were arresting him. The footage shows him being led to the back of a police car in handcuffs, along with Brown.

The footage right after the initial altercation captures a tense exchange between Brown and the officer who took him to the ground.
“You didn’t need to put your hands on me,” Brown said on the footage.
“And I told you to get out of the street,” the officer said.
“Bro, I wasn’t even in the street. I was talking to my teammates,” Brown said, trailing off on the video.
“Because you don’t listen. No reason I should have to tell you two times to get out of the street,” the officer said. “Put your hands behind your back.”
Both are defensive backs for the Arkansas football team.
