Arkansas receiver Treylon Burks continues to show he’s one of the best receivers in college football and it’s been no different Friday in the Missouri-Arkansas game in the battle for the Battle Line Trophy.

Watch as his quarterback KJ Jefferson drops a 52-yard touchdown bomb to him below.

Jefferson underthrew Burks a little bit on the pass but it was still good enough to allow his star receiver to turn on the jets for six. The touchdown score gave Arkansas the lead 24-6 with 9:49 remaining in the third quarter.

Jefferson has been in and out of the medical tent on a number of occasions, but he’s been healthy enough to play and make plays for the Razorbacks.

Treylon Burks reaches important milestones

Burks reached an important milestone in the game, clearing 1,000 receiving yards for the season. In doing so, he became the fourth Razorback to reach the mark and the first since Cobi Hamilton did it in 2002.

Not only did he clear 1,000 receiving yards, but he’s already racked up over 100 receiving yards in the game against Missouri.

It’s the sixth 100-yard receiving game of the season for him, the most in a single season in program history. Anthony Eubanks (1997) and Anthony Lucas (1998) held the previous school record of five.

It’s also his 10th 100-yard plus receiving game for his career at Arkansas, putting him one behind Anthony Lucas (11), who owns the school record. Burks will have a good chance to tie that mark in the bowl game, if he chooses to suit up in it. The talented wide receiver is likely to be a first round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Thus far in his highly decorated three-year career at Arkansas, the star wideout has hauled in over 2,300 receiving yards and 18 receiving touchdowns.
