2024 four-star DB A'Mon Lane set to 'take Auburn where they need to be'
Moody (Ala.) 2024 four-star cornerback A’Mon Lane has been focused on Auburn and LSU for some time. Ultimately, Auburn was just home.
Lane, the No. 225 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus rankings for the class of 2024, grew up watching Auburn.
His grandmother is a huge fan of the Tigers. The love his family has for the program helped and has him motivated to help put Auburn back in championship contention.
“We’re literally in Auburn every weekend,” Lane said. “It’s close to home. My family won’t have to travel that much.”
Lane takes pride in being the first commit in the class of 2024 for Auburn.
“It feels really good,” Lane told On3. “I know I can come in and play right away. I can play corner, star or safety. Whatever you need me to play I can line up and do it. I can help take Auburn where they need to be… We will have the best 2024 class at Auburn. I just want to get it started.”
A’Mon Lane felt like a priority
Lane’s fandom of Auburn wasn’t the only factor. The four-star cornerback picked up the offer from Auburn early on.

Oregon coach getting NFL buzz
Recently, he felt the shift in how hard the Tigers were recruiting him. Moody won a 7-on-7 tournament while at Auburn recently.
The coaching staff turned up the heat on Lane following that camp. Lane built a bond with defensive backs coach Zac Etheridge. Etheridge is a former Auburn defensive back. Lane immediately related to his future coach.
“Me and coach Etheridge have a good relationship,” Lane said. “He’s been everywhere I want to be. He’s done everything that I want to do. Coach (Bryan) Harsin is a great coach. I just want to play under him. I know he can take me where I want to go.”
