2025 4-star EDGE Jakaleb Faulk commits to Auburn
Highland Home (Ala.) four-star edge rusher Jakaleb Faulk has announced his commitment to the Auburn Tigers. His brother, Keldric, is a freshman defensive lineman for the Tigers.
Faulk, the nation’s No. 151 overall prospect, is the second recruit to pledge to Auburn in the 2025 cycle.
“It’s really about where I feel like I’m comfortable and where’s home for me,” Faulk told On3. “It’s a plus that he is there and I’ll have somebody to guide me, but he didn’t try to have a big influence on my recruitment.”
Auburn has ‘family feel’
Auburn’s “family feel” stood out to Faulk, who praised how the staff treats him at Auburn and how it “feels like home” to him.
“I love the new staff and the energy they’re bringing,” Faulk said. “I love how enthusiastic they are and excited about the season, I have a good feeling about them and I think they could do way better than they did last year just off of their recruiting. It’s kind of amazing to me.”
Faulk has had no shortage of trips to Auburn. He visited the Plains close to six times with the old staff and five times since Hugh Freeze and company took over the reins.

“The Auburn family is amazing up there and the energy has changed,” Faulk said. “They’ve got a lot of hype with Coach Freeze and what he can bring to the table.”
Faulk said that he had been planning to commit after narrowing his list down as quickly as he could. After a plethora of research, it came down to the environment at Auburn. While Georgia and Alabama gave the Tigers a run for their money, Faulk knew three days ago that Auburn was the right decision for him.
He noted the different vibe that came to Auburn with Freeze — saying that Freeze’s staff could have the Tigers back to competing for championships. Faulk’s brother, Keldric, told him that the coaching staff works hard every day and expects the same out of the players.
“I’ve got a feeling that (Freeze) can bring them back to that championship level and further than they’ve ever been,” Faulk said. “He’s going to do something good there.”
