3-star LB Alex Sanford offered by Auburn

Oxford (Miss.) three-star linebacker Alex Sanford received an offer from Auburn on Sunday. He announced the news over social media.

Sanford committed to Arkansas on June 26. He is ranked as the No. 702 overall recruit and No. 64 linebacker in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 13 player in Mississippi.

The 6-foot-1, 233 prospect has not visited the Tigers yet during his recruiting process. The only program he has visited multiple times is the Razorbacks. Sanford took an official visit to Fayetteville on June 24 and two unofficial visits as well, including one on July 30.

Auburn’s 2023 recruiting class currently contains five commits and is ranked No. 53 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. Meanwhile, Arkansas’ 2023 class is No. 16 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

Sanford currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $16.6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
