4-star WR Daquayvious Sorey commits to Auburn
Former Georgia commitment Daquayvious Sorey has committed to Auburn.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound four-star wide receiver out of Chipley (Fla.) chose the Tigers over Alabama, Florida, and Miami.
“I love the environment and community at Auburn,” Sorey told On3. “I like the coaches, the offensive sets they run, and how I can see myself in the offense. Auburn is a great school and it is the school for me.”
Wide receivers coach Ike Hilliard and graduate assistant David Whitlow, Jr. both built strong relationships with the No. 53 prospect in Florida. Head coach Bryan Harsin was deeply involved as well.
“I love Coach Harsin as a coach and a mentor. We talk every night and we talk about what I want to achieve in life. It is not all about football with him. Coach Harsin talks with me about what I want to do after football, and that means a lot.”

Sorey is expected to visit Auburn a handful of times this season. He has visited the Plains a couple of times, but he has not visited since his freshman year. Earlier this summer, Sorey almost committed to another school, but he held off, took more time, and he is confident about this decision.
“I’ve known I was going to Auburn since the start of July,” Sorey said. “This is the best decision for me. Auburn is the school I want to win a national championship with.”
Sorey is the No. 265 prospect in the On3 Consensus.
