Report: More Auburn coaching changes as Tigers clean house after Bryan Harsin firing
Following the firing of coach Bryan Harsin on Monday and the promotion of Carnell “Cadillac” Williams to interim coach, a number of other Auburn coaching changes have also come down.
According to a report from Jeffrey Lee of AuburnLive on the On3 Network, Auburn has fired offensive coordinator Eric Kiesau, tight ends coach Brad Bedell, associate AD and football chief of staff Brad Larrondo and director of recruiting Darren Uscher.
Lee tweeted the news Monday evening.
Auburn named Williams the interim coach on Monday, according to AuburnLive’s reporting.
Williams is in his third season as the Tigers’ running backs coach and was an All-American running back on the Plains from 2001-2004.
Under Williams’ tutelage in 2020, freshman running back Tank Bigsby was named the SEC Co-Freshman of the Year and Associated Press SEC Newcomer of the Year after leading all freshmen in the conference with 834 rushing yards. Bigsby was the first freshman in school history to rush for three consecutive 100-yard games and his 834 yards were the second most all-time at Auburn by a rookie.
Revamped Auburn coaching staff preparing for Mississippi State
The challenge for the revamped and interim coaching staff at Auburn this week will be refocusing the players for a road trip to Mississippi State.

The Tigers have had a ton of news around the program in recent weeks, with a number of defections with players intending to enter the transfer portal and then finally Harsin’s firing and the subsequent fallout on Monday.
Suffice it to say, regrouping will not be easy.
Auburn has lost four straight games, the most recent coming in a 41-27 defeat at home against Arkansas. The Tigers are tied with Texas A&M for last place in the SEC West, sporting a 1-4 conference mark.
That league record also matches Florida‘s; only Vanderbilt is worse, with the Commodores currently 0-4 in SEC play.
