LOOK: Auburn football reveals uniforms for Penn State Whiteout
The Auburn football team just dropped a video that shows the uniform combination for Saturday night’s Whiteout game atPenn State.
The irony here is fairly obvious.
That’s right, folks. In a creative, dramatic quick video, Auburn is announcing the Tigers will in fact wear all white to Penn State’s Whiteout.
Though the Auburn football social media staff may be having a bit of fun, this likely isn’t a decision meant to troll Penn State’s tradition.
The Nittany Lions have always worn their traditional blue jerseys for Whiteout home games, meaning Auburn had to rock a white top at the very least.
Auburn football ready for Penn State Whiteout
While Auburn head coach Brian Harsin may be new to the SEC, most of his squad has played in hostile environments in stadiums that hold more fans than any NFL venue.
Harsin welcomes the Penn State Whiteout game.
“That should be something that we all embrace and want to be a part of,” Auburn coach Bryan Harsin said. “And if you’re a guy that is worried about that, or shying away, don’t get on the plane. We’ll take somebody else. We’ll take the guys that have the mindset to go play and do a job in this game and we’ll compete with them.”

Auburn has not faced a Power Five opponent yet this year after starting its season with Akron and Alabama State, but so far its leading the country in points allowed with just five per game.
Penn State scored 24 points in the first half against Ball State last week. PSU quarterback Sean Clifford had a pair of touchdowns, one through the air and one on the ground, and the team totaled 240 rushing yards. Auburn football leads the SEC in rushing yardage allowed, giving up just 21.5 yards per game. Again, the Tigers have not faced an opponent like Penn State, but it is clear they have been successful in stopping the run to date.
Will the all-white threads help Auburn defeat the Nittany Lions in a hostile environment? Likely not, but every fan has superstitions and Saturday night can’t come soon enough.
