Auburn OL Jaden Muskrat has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal. That news comes per On3’s Pete Nakos on Friday morning.

Over five college seasons at Auburn and Tulsa, Muskrat has appeared in 45 games, including 10 starts, in his career as an offensive tackle. That includes each of the 25 games, with one start, the past two seasons for the Tigers.

Muskrat, a native of Berryhill, Oklahoma, played high school football at Bentonville West in Centerton, Arkansas after previously being at Choctaw (OK). He was a Top-3,000 prospect as a three-star recruit in the 2020 cycle. He also rated as a Top-30 player out of the state of Arkansas. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Muskrat is now the latest transfer during the spring cycle down on The Plains. He’s one of six now with DB CJ Johnson, who entered during the winter period as well, also in. IOL Bradyn Joiner (Purdue), DB Terrance Love (Colorado), CB JC Hart (Utah), and CB Tyler Scott (Georgia State) have also since committed elsewhere in the portal. That’s after adding DL James Ash (Florida A&M), CB Rayshawn Pleasant (Tulane), LB Caleb Wheatland (Maryland), and LB Jay Hardy (Liberty).

With all that, Auburn has a top-ten portal class in college football per the latest update to On3’s 2025 Team Transfer Portal Rankings. It currently rates at No. 6 for the Tigers with 20 additions and, because of this, 24 subtractions for the program.

What positions will Auburn go after in the portal?

Auburn had its spring game back on April 12th. Huge Freeze, following that outing at A-Day, addressed what the Tigers would be looking for during this current portal cycle in the two weeks since.

“You know, that’s a, that is the – we have, have been discussing that every personnel meeting because I think the game is, uh, changing,” said Freeze. “You know, I haven’t heard the latest on the settlement but it, um, it’s going to be difficult to – you’re going to have to model it after an NFL roster, I think, eventually and that lends to, do we go with three and, and use the extra on a big somewhere, whether it be O-line or D-line.”

“We haven’t made that final determination yet and, you know, some of it will probably depend on what’s available. I think it’s probably going to be a pretty hard sell, um, maybe, you know, so that, that’s, that’s something we’re still determining,” Freeze said. “But, the positions? You never will turn down, um, interior D-linemen or pass rusher, um, or some guys with experience. I really like our young linebackers. Could we use one that has some experience, if ones available? Probably so. And, um, never turn down a great cover guy either.”
