Auburn offers 2024 4-star DL Charleston Collins

Pine Bluff (Ark.) Wilbur D. Mills four-star defensive lineman Charleston Collins received an offer from Auburn on Sunday night. He announced the news over social media.

Collins is the No. 249 overall prospect and No. 20 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Arkansas. 

On3 rates Collins higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 132 overall prospect, No. 10 defensive lineman and No. 2 player in Arkansas.

The 6-foot-4, 257-pound prospect announced his top 12 schools on Nov. 30. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, LSU has a commanding lead for his commitment at 95.9%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Auburn’s 2024 recruiting class currently has one commitment. Alabaster (Ala.) Moody School four-star cornerback A’Mon Lane chose the Tigers on July 30.

Collins has an On3 NIL Valuation of $9.5K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
