Auburn QB commit Walker White gets creative with recruiting pitch to Tigers targets
No prospect has worked harder to try and add to his recruiting class than Little Rock (Ark.) Christian four-star quarterback and Auburn commit Walker White.
Ever since the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder pledged to the Tigers on Feb. 3, he’s focused on each and every AU target on the board to try and build something special on The Plains. He took that to the next level on Saturday.
When arriving to the Iron Bowl, White was spotted wearing a hoodie with the last names of multiple Auburn targets on the back, including five-stars Cam Coleman and LJ McCray:
Other prospects on the list includes: Parker (Ala.) Birmingham four-star defensive lineman and Alabama commit Jeremiah Beaman, Katy (Texas) four-star IOL and Texas A&M commit Coen Echols, McDonough (Ga.) Eagle’s Landing Christian three-star OT Favour Edwin, Orem (Utah) three-star tight end Roger Saleapaga and Ellaville (Ga.) Schley County four-star athlete Jalewis Solomon.
“This recruiting class, we are all very close to each other and have good relationships,” White told Auburn Live in October. “We are very transparent. Everyone was very positive about everything. It looks promising for Auburn this year and in the future. For our class, we are just excited to be a part of it and bringing Auburn back up. I think we all believe in what we can do. Trovon Reed’s message to us is that this class has to come in, come together, do the right thing and create a vibe of swagger. He talked about his time here and that they played with so much swagger and that it was fun. He said we have to bring that back.”

Auburn’s recruiting class currently ranks No. 15 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking. White is the No. 151 overall prospect and No. 11 QB in the cycle. He checks in as the fifth highest-ranked pledge for Hugh Freeze and the Tigers, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
The Tigers have made a living off of flips this cycle. The top three commits in the class have all been flipped away from other SEC programs: Foley (Ala.) five-star wide receiver Perry Thompson flipped from Alabama, Clanton (Ala.) Chilton County four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick flipped from Georgia and Picayune (Miss.) Memorial four-star EDGE Jamonta Waller flipped from Florida.
Auburn is also currently trending to flip Cam Coleman — the No. 12 recruit and No. 3 WR in the cycle — away from Texas A&M, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). He’s made multiple trips to campus this season and could be the next in line to join the Tigers.
