Auburn rises in On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings following Walker White commitment

Hugh Freeze’s 2024 class is off to a fast start as Auburn landed a commitment Little Rock (Ark.) Little Rock Christian Academy four-star quarterback Walker White.

White’s pledge elevated Auburn’s 2024 recruiting class from No. 19 to No. 15 in the 2024 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. They also have the No. 7 class in the SEC.

“At the end of the day, Auburn was still in my heart and I needed to listen to that,” White told On3’s Chad Simmons. “For me, everything lined up perfectly for me to go to Auburn: The quarterback situation and just how experienced the offensive staff is at Auburn and how much they can develop me. For me, that’s my biggest thing. At the end of the day, my goal is the NFL. Auburn has the coaches to get me to that potential.”

Auburn now has three commitments so far as White joins four-star cornerbacks Jayden Lewis and A’Mon Lane.

Prior to his commitment, Clemson was the front-runner to land a commitment from White as he took a visit to campus at the end of the month and nothing but good things to say.

Before that visit though, Auburn was one of the three other visits White took on Jan. 16.

White is the No. 165 overall prospect and No. 13 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Arkansas.

He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $21K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
