Auburn 4-star QB commit Walker White scores 7 TDs in rivalry blowout
Little Rock (Ark.) Christian Academy four-star quarterback Walker White made a statement on Friday night.
The Auburn commit entered his senior season winless against Pulaski (Ark.) Academy, Little Rock Christian’s rival. Looking for a statement performance in his final year before heading to the Plains, the 6-foot-3, 225-pounder found just that.
In a 55-13 blowout, White led the way, totaling seven touchdowns, five through the air and two on the ground. Four of his scores came in the first quarter alone.
White is the No. 142 overall prospect and No. 9 QB in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in Arkansas.
White committed to Auburn on Feb. 3, choosing the Tigers over Baylor and Clemson. He’s the fourth highest-ranked commit in Hugh Freeze’s 2024 class, which ranks No. 14 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.

“At the end of the day, I’m going to honor my commitment and I’m going to go full force for my class at Auburn and classes below that,” White told On3. “I’m going to work really hard to try to get really good players around me and I will be taking multiple trips to Auburn to help recruit. I’m at Auburn. I’m going to honor that. I won’t take any more trips anywhere else. Auburn’s my place.”
The QB built solid relationships with Freeze, offensive coordinator Phillip Montgomery, offensive senior analyst Jesse Stone and special assistant to the head coach Kent Austin. Freeze was front-and-center as the Tigers reeled in the blue-chip gunslinger.
“Every single one of those guys are more than capable to help develop me and get me to my best,” White said. “Coach Freeze, I have full confidence in what he can do and what his experience is and tag along with coach Montgomery and coach Austin and coach Stone. All of their minds together to create one offense is gonna be very special and I’m very excited about that because they really know what they’re doing. They’ve had success wherever they’ve been, so I’m just really on fire for that staff.”
Walker White Scouting Summary
“Physically-developed quarterback with prototypical size, a strong arm and ability as a power runner. Has a muscled, filled-out build as one of the more developed quarterback prospects in the 2024 cycle. Measured at over 6-foot-3 and around 220 pounds prior to his junior season. Hand size has measured between 9.75 and 10 inches. Flashes a strong arm. Has the ability to make high level throws when everything is on time and in rhythm. Plays with good reactive quickness and has the functional mobility to escape the pass rush. A tough, physical runner who brings a power run element, particularly in short yardage and goal line situations.
…Completed 53.2% of his passes for 1,975 yards and 25 touchdowns against 9 interceptions as a junior. Rushed for 837 yards and 16 touchdowns on 102 carries. Not as efficient as most of his blue-chip peers as a passer in part due to accuracy and decision-making. Has the physical tools to be among the best in the cycle, but needs to develop his feel and confidence as a player to tap into that upside. A tad older for the cycle, turning 18 years-old in May of his junior year.”
