This offseason, there were more eyeballs on Auburn than anywhere else in the SEC, with the future of head coach Bryan Harsin in question. Harsin will be staying with the program and will push forward for improvement during the 2022 season. As he does, the Tigers’ head coach will be giving an inside look through a podcast.

Harsin announced the launch of “Huddle with Hars” where he will highlight some of the people involved with the football team. The first episode was released via Apple Podcasts, available to listen for everyone.

“It’s ALL about the people. Auburn Family, check out our podcast @HuddleWithHars! Excited to share an inside scoop on the fantastic people in our program & allow them to reveal their journey,” Harsin said.

Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Eric Kiesau was the inaugural guest. Kiesau was promoted by Auburn this season after spending last year as the wide receiver coach and passing game coordinator. He and Harsin go way back, working together at Boise State on the offensive side of the ball.

Harsin did not say how often episodes of his podcast will be released. However, there is a full offseason ahead of everyone involved with the Auburn program. There should be plenty of time to sit down with Harsin to give an inside peek of how things go down on The Plains.

Bryan Harsin provides an update on kicker Anders Carlson

While speaking with the media on Tuesday, Bryan Harsin revealed that he expects Anders Carlson to work as the starting kicker in Week One against Mercer on Sept. 3.

“If everything goes well this summer, which I anticipate it would, then he’ll be ready to go,” Harsin told AL.com.

He expanded on the potential timetable for return with high praise for the work ethic and progress made so far in the spring.

“As far as the work he’s put in and the progress that he’s made, I believe he’ll be ready, and I think in his mind he’ll be ready,” Harsin said. “That’s the one thing about Anders: I know he’s a kicker, but he is the ultimate competitor, and you don’t really see many kickers have that type of energy, but to come back from that and how he’s done it and the focus that he’s got to just getting himself healthy—there’s no question in my mind that he’ll be ready to go.”
