Opinions about Auburn Tigers head coach Bryan Harsin has been made public by players on Friday. Several from the 2021 roster have stepped up and expressed how they felt, whether it was for better or worse.

Tight end Luke Deal was the latest Auburn player to make his voice heard through Twitter. He commented on the culture within the program, saying everybody is still “together” despite a whirlwind of headlines over the past 24 hours.

“Division is not what Auburn needs, it’s what the public wants,” said Deal. “Our football team has never been more together than it is today. I love my team and this University! Stay together.”

“WAR EAGLE”

Deal is a third-year player for the Tigers, originally being recruited under head coach Gus Malzhan. He decided to stick through the coaching change and became a key player during the 2021 season. Playing in all 13 games this season, Deal recorded nine receptions for 65 yards. Deal’s lone touchdown of the year came against Mississippi State.

Deal not only Auburn Tigers TE to defend Bryan Harsin

Auburn tight end John Samuel Shenker has come to the defense of his head coach. Shenker opted to return to Auburn for another season, choosing to play under Harsin again instead of pursuing professional opportunities.

Now, he is coming to bat for Harsin.

“Listen and Listen Carefully: @CoachHarsin is my football coach! He is the leader I want to have in my corner,” Shenker said of Harsin. “If you have a problem with his Discipline, Toughness, and Conviction that he instills in his players than get your entitled, selfish, and soft tail out away this program.

“I’ll go into a foxhole with guys who love each other and back up Coach Harsin! Also, if you reporters think this “publicity” is giving you credibility, you are more naive than I thought. Come out to a workout or practice and write about things you see instead of things you want to hear. WDE.”
