Auburn is trending to land Mobile (Ala.) Cottage Hill Christian Academy 2026 four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons logged an expert prediction favoring the Tigers earlier today, joining Auburn insider Jeffrey Lee. Auburn now leads for Toodle in the RPM at 97.5%.

Toodle narrowed his list to 10 schools last month. Auburn, Louisville, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina and Texas A&M made the list.

Communication was important for Toodle as he put this list together.

“These schools made my top 10 because of how they kept in contact with me,” Toodle told On3. “Relationships are important to me and when I go on these visits, my interaction with coaches is something I look for.”

Toodle is the nation’s No. 64 overall prospect, No. 4 linebacker and No. 3 recruit from Alabama in the 2026 On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

“Outside of relationships, I am also looking at how coaches coach, their player development, who wins championships and academics moving forward,” Toodle said last month.

He is expected to be back in Auburn this weekend for ‘Big Cat Weekend’ — Auburn’s annual summer recruiting bash at the end of July. Notable 2024 commitments at and around Big Cat Weekend last year included elite wide receiver Perry Thompson, top-100 linebacker Demarcus Riddick and four-star wide receiver Malcolm Simmons.
