UF, LSU, Nebraska & Tennessee Football Hit BIG, Auburn Trending & More | New Expert Predictions!

The months of June and July have been key ones for Auburn‘s 2025 recruiting class, with eight of their 16 commitments coming during that time period.

After that key run, the Tigers sit at No. 16 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 9 in the SEC with a handful of major targets still left out there.

And a few of them are on track to be making commitment decisions in the next few weeks before their senior seasons begin in earnest. Here are three top prospects that Auburn’s coaching staff will be keep a close eye in the coming days and weeks:

4-star EDGE Jared Smith

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 42
Commitment Date: August 3rd
On3 RPM: Auburn 80.3%, South Carolina 13.5%

The Skinny: For much of the spring and early summer, South Carolina was considered the favorite to land Jared Smith, one of the nation’s top uncommitted prospects. He took official visits with USC, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida State, and Ole Miss, but coincidentally, not Auburn.

The in-state program has surged in a huge way for the Hoover-area star though, with multiple picks going in their favor since he announced he would commit on August 3. Smith is expected to be on The Plains in a few days for Big Cat Weekend, which could be his final visit before decision day.

4-star safety Anquon Fegans

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 57
Commitment Date: July 29th
On3 RPM: Auburn 80.8%, USC 13.0%

The Skinny: A one-time USC commit, Anquon Fegans has been trending to Auburn since March when he visited the Tigers twice in two months. He took official visits to Miami, LSU, Georgia and Clemson this summer. But all eyes are on the Tigers (LSU and Auburn), who he’s set to see this weekend before a decision on Monday.

4-star CB Blake Woodby

On3 Industry Ranking: No. 138
Commitment Date: TBD
On3 RPM: Auburn 81.4%, Ohio State 14.9%

The Skinny: Once a member of Ohio State’s No. 2 overall recruiting class, Blake Woodby decommitted in May and quickly became a top commitment candidate for Auburn. He took an official visit in June, and him joining the class has felt like more of a ‘when’ than an ‘if’ since then.
