On3 Industry four-star CB Blake Woodby commits to Auburn during Big Cat Weekend

Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances On3 Industry four-star cornerback Blake Woodby announced his commitment to head coach Hugh Freeze and Auburn during Big Cat Weekend on Saturday.
The four-star Woodby is a former Ohio State commit that also strongly considered Cincinnati and Maryland among others.
Future position coach Wesley McGriff and defensive coordinator DJ Durkin have been leading the recruitment of Woodby.
“I feel more and more comfortable at Auburn,” Woodby told Auburn Live earlier this summer. “And they make it easy. It feels like home. It feels like family. Everybody knows everybody. I know everybody from my official visit, from the equipment people to the offensive staff to the defensive staff to the special teams staff.”

Woodby took his official visit on The Plains the weekend of May 31. He joins his teammate in athlete Bryce Deas in joining the fold for the Tigers.
“I know everybody and everybody knows me. They are all invested in me and me in them.”
The On3 Industry ranks Woodby as the nation’s No. 17 cornerback and No. 138 prospect overall. He is one of the jewels of a class that also includes safety Eric Winters and cornerback Devin Williams. The secondary has been a point of emphasis this cycle for Auburn.
Freeze and the Tigers staff aim for a second-straight Top 10 recruiting class. Here is a look at where they stand with Woodby in the fold.
