Bruce Pearl calls Dylan Cardwell 'possible' to play against Arkansas
With the postseason here, every team is in need of all hands on deck. That includes Auburn as they continue to await the latest on junior center Dylan Cardwell after he suffered an ankle injury against Alabama and missed the final game of the season against Tennessee.
Per the latest from Bruce Pearl, there’s a chance Cardwell will return this evening in their SEC Tournament matchup with Arkansas. He said during his press conference on Wednesday that Cardwell practiced enough to where there’s a possibility that we see him against the Razorbacks.
“Dylan practiced today,” said Pearl. “He wasn’t in there a lot but he was in there enough to think he’s possible.”
Cardwell averages 3.7 points and four rebounds on 73.9% shooting from the field this season. He does so in only 13.7 minutes per game, but they’re an important 13.7 minutes considering his experience and the Tiger’s need for somebody in the frontcourt to back up Johni Broome.
Pearl didn’t make any guarantees but it appears Cardwell could be ready to give it a go later today in Nashville. We’ll have to wait and see, though, when the Tigers take the floor against the ‘Hogs and look to make it to Friday’s quarterfinals.

Brown transfer Paxson Wojcik hearing from Nebraska, multiple SEC schools
Former Brown guard Paxson Wojcik has heard from multiple programs since entering the transfer portal Wednesday, he told On3’s Joe Tipton. Wojcik is a graduate transfer.
Nebraska, South Carolina, Auburn, Arkansas, and Vanderbilt are among the programs to contact Wojcik since he hit the portal, he told Tipton. He has also heard from Cal, Cincinnati, SMU, and Santa Clara.
Wojcik just wrapped up his second season with Brown after transferring from Loyola Chicago. He put together an impressive 2022-23 season this year, averaging 14.9 points and 7.2 rebounds to earn second-team All-Ivy League honors. It was quite the jump from 2021-22 when he averaged 9.6 points per game, and he started every game he played for Brown over the last two years.
