Cam Coleman: Alabama, Iron Bowl is the next stop on Auburn's 'revenge tour'
Auburn wide receiver Cam Coleman isn’t pulling his punches ahead of the Tigers’ trip to Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl against Alabama in Week 14.
Evidently, last season’s heartbreaking loss is weighing on the team, and Auburn is out to right what they believe to be a major wrong. The Crimson Tide are standing in their way, and it’s up to the Tigers to make them pay.
“Really a revenge tour,” Coleman said, regarding going into Bryant-Denny Stadium for the Iron Bowl this Saturday, via Jacob Waters of Opelika-Auburn News. “We’re going in their place and we’re really just going to go into their crib and just take over and have fun while we’re doing it.
“This is going to be some of the last memories we make with each other so let’s go make it a memorable game.”
Coleman’s comments aren’t the only ones turning heads from the Auburn side. Tigers freshman linebacker Demarcus Riddick threw some shade at wide receiver Ryan Williams and quarterback Jalen Milroe on Monday, as well.

“Ryan Williams is Ryan Williams,” Riddick stated. “Yeah he’s electric, all this and that. In my eyes, he ain’t really nobody to me. Ryan Williams is himself. He ain’t no big time player to me. Like I said, ‘Bama, it’s a big rivalry … Every rival team I played, I never lost to. I will not lose to ‘Bama while I’m here.
“(Jalen Milroe) is a good quarterback, he’s fast. But he’s not faster than me … He will not get out that box this week.”
Alas, Auburn is coming off a massive win against a ranked Texas A&M team in triple overtime, so maybe their confidence is higher than it’s been in the past. Still, the Tigers are certainly providing the Crimson Tide with plenty of bulletin board material ahead of Week 14.
This season’s iteration of the Iron Bowl will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET inside Bryant Denny-Stadium in Tuscaloosa, AL. ABC will have the coverage, and it’s turning into a must-see event with each quote that comes out from Auburn’s side.
