WATCH: Derick Hall surprises Auburn students, basketball players by dunking on them

Auburn football edge defender Derick Hall showed off his basketball skills Monday as the Tigers prepare to tip off their hoops season against George Mason. In a video posted to the Auburn football Twitter account, Hall teamed up with long snapper Reed Hughes to prank both random students.
Hughes began by distracting students under the guise of an interview, asking them a couple of questions before a third party snuck up behind them holding a miniature basketball hoop over their heads. That was when the real fun began, as Hall came out of nowhere to throw down a ferocious dunk in their face.
Hughes and Derick Hall even tried the prank on a couple of Auburn basketball players. First, Hughes asked a player who appears to be center Dylan Cardwell to show off his charge stance, setting up Hall to come in and slam dunk it over the top of him.

A second Auburn basketball player, who appears to be wing Allen Flanigan, was not so easily fooled. After saying that Hall had “no chance” to dunk on him, Flanigan noticed the 6-foot-3 edge defender charging his way before quickly getting out of dodge.
At the end of the video, Hughes and Hall sent a message to students encouraging them to show up and support the Tigers hoops team Monday evening. Auburn is set to tip off against George Mason at 7 p.m. CT.
