Rolling Toomer’s Corner has long been one of Auburn‘s most beloved post-victory traditions on The Plains, as Tigers fans of all ages flood into the middle of downtown Auburn and plaster the famous trees with celebratory streams of toilet paper.

Depending on the victory — who remembers the post-Kick Six winter wonderland or how Toomer’s Corner looked after the Auburn men’s basketball team made its first-ever Final Four? — the result is a sight to behold.

Now, thanks to an assist from former Tigers quarterback Bo Nix and retired two-time Super Bowl MVP QB Eli Manning, the Auburn faithful can claim a Guinness World Record to boot.

On Tuesday afternoon, Manning and Nix were on hand at the intersection of College Street and Magnolia Avenue while filming a new episode of Manning’s ESPN+ series Eli’s Places to help Auburn fans set a new Guinness World Record by utilizing more than 7,000 rolls of toilet paper on the famous trees, according to The Auburn Plainsman, the school’s student newspaper.

“This is special. This is unbelievable. I know we have a lot of incoming freshmen that are here today,” Manning told the , according to The Plainsman. “This will be, kind of, your first official rolling of Toomer’s Corner as a student here at Auburn, so I’m excited for that.

“(The Alabama governor has) an official plaque, so we’re setting the record. It’ll be a great day,” Manning continued. “This is a thrill for one of the great traditions in college football, the rolling of Toomer’s Corner. I know y’all will have many more opportunities to do it this year, so this is just the first of many, especially for you freshmen out there.”

The event lasted roughly 15 minutes, according to The Plainsman, and involved approximately 7,125 rolls of toilet paper, far surpassing any previously recorded rolling of Toomer’s Corner, according to the official Guinness World Record plaque from Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey to honor the achievement.

“On this day, July 8, 2025, a remarkable and spirited gathering, Auburn University students, faculty, alumni and fans joined by Eli Manning, Bo Nix and Patrick Nix successfully united in Alabama’s most iconic campus tradition,” Auburn history professor Keith Hebert said, reading from the placard, per The Plainsman. “… In accordance with all available records, these individuals achieved what was previously undone by any other persons in history.”
