Four-star guard Aden Holloway commits to Auburn
Class of 2023 four-star combo guard Aden Holloway has committed to Auburn, he told On3.
The 6-foot-0, 155-pound prospect originally from Charlotte, N.C. chose the Tigers over Tennessee, Michigan, Memphis, Wake Forest, Notre Dame, and others. Holloway previously attended La Lumiere, a prep school in La Porte, Ind. but recently he announced he will transfer out west to Prolific Prep in Napa Valley, Calif. for his senior season.
Holloway is the No. 39 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.
This summer on the EYBL Circuit, Holloway averaged 17.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game for Team CP3 (NC).

Holloway on choosing Auburn
“I chose Auburn because of what coach Bruce (Pearl) and the program stand for,” Holloway said to On3. “I chose them because of their plan for me, the play style and conference, as well as the connection Bruce and I have.”
In a previous interview with On3, Holloway gave his additional thoughts on the Tigers.
“I love Auburn and I love Bruce Pearl and the coaching staff. I love the vibe I got from them. Their team also welcomed me with open arms. I love their run-and-gun play style. I think Bruce would make me a better defensive point guard… So that’s what I would really focus on there, just getting better with my all-around game.”
Scouting Summary
Aden Holloway is a fearless point guard. He is very crafty with the ball, able to get to his spots off the bounce and he can create space to get his shot off. While Holloway does not have optimal measurables and is an average athlete, his skill and his confidence help him produce. The size will be questioned, and any coach who takes him will have to be ok with a smaller guard. He has a tendency to over-dribble and can be questioned on the defensive end. He has been consistently very good for La Porte (IN) LaLumiere School this season, against the highest level competition. – On3’s Jamie Shaw, National Recruiting Analyst
