Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers have been on a hot recruiting run lately.

The ‘Freeze Warning‘ has been the mantra of Tigers recruiting since Freeze took over the head job on the Plains. That recruiting success appears to be continuing into the 2025 cycle.

After landing three 2026 commitments and flipping Saraland (Ala.) four-star defensive lineman Antonio Coleman away from Alabama for the second time, Auburn’s official football account took to social media to celebrate the recent recruiting success of Freeze and his staff.

“It’s been a cold summer 🥶”

Coleman and Baltimore St. Frances four-star cornerback Blake Woodby both pledged to Auburn during Big Cat Weekend on July 27. Multiple 2026 prospects also committed over Big Cat Weekend — Huntsville (Ala.) Jemison four-star EDGE Hezekiah Harris, Mobile (Ala.) Cottage Hill Christian four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle and Gulf Shores (Ala.) four-star LB JaMichael Garrett.

Auburn picked up its top-rated commit of the cycle to date in June when Enterprise (Ala.) four-star safety Eric Winters committed to the Tigers on the 15th. He ranks No. 64 overall, No. 7 among safeties and No. 5 in Alabama in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Other June commitments included four-star offensive tackle Broderick Shull, four-star running back Alvin Henderson, four-star cornerback Donovan Starr and three-star athlete Bryce Deas.

Earlier this month, three-star tight end Hollis Davidson committed on the Fourth of July, two days before three-star interior offensive lineman Jacobe Ward followed.
