Horn Lake (Miss.) Lake Cormorant four-star safety Jarcoby Hopson will be visiting Auburn on March 13. He announced the news over Twitter on Sunday.

Hopson is the No. 58 overall prospect and No. 4 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Mississippi.

The 6-foot-1.5, 205-pound defensive back holds 20 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ole Miss is leading for his commitment at 32.7%.

Hopson has already scheduled another visit to Florida. According to Corey Bender of Gators Online, he will be in Gainesville from March 31-April 2.

Ole Miss is another SEC program pushing for the Mississippi native. Rebels defensive coordinator Pete Golding is one of the coaches recruiting him to Oxford.

“Coach Pete is a very cool person,” Hopson told Zach Berry of OM Spirit on Feb. 27. “He was telling me where I would play in his defense. He’s been very welcoming.”

“They like me as an outside linebacker/safety,” he added. “The JACK position.”

The only 2025 prospect from Mississippi ranked ahead of Hopson is Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County four-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham. He is the No. 7 overall prospect in the Industry Ranking.

Hopson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $46K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
