WATCH: Jeopardy contestant embarrasses both Pac-12, Auburn fans with hilarious fail
When you’re competing on a game show such as Jeopardy, the assumption is you have the smarts to compete and possibly win a cash prize. However, over the years the show has produced some hilarious, viral fail moments when it comes to the world of sports.
None may be as bad as this one, though.
With a category labeled “Knowledge about college,” Justin was the contestant and he picked the $600 question, which happened to be a Daily Double. Host Alec Trebek presented the statement to Justin, which read “It’s the only Pac-12 school that does not contain the name of the state.”
Now, if Justin had answered USC or UCLA, it could have maybe been understandable since the state’s name is hidden inside of the acronym. Although the answer is Stanford, you could possibly give the contest a pass on those two.
Instead, Justin gave an answer so outlandish that he possibly embarrassed Pac-12 fans across the country. You can watch the full moment here.

Auburn and Stanford are just over 2,400 miles apart and if you were to make the road trip, it would take approximately 36 hours. You would have to travel through three time zones, and the Big 12 Conference, before getting to the Pac-12 school.
The two programs have never met on the football field either, as the Tigers only have 13 combined games played against the Pac-12. Perhaps Justin was thinking of the 1999-2000 regular-season matchup in college basketball where No. 9 Stanford upset No. 2 Auburn in the John Wooden Classic.
Although this clip is nothing new, it’s still shocking nearly six years later. Justin said the answer during a 2016 broadcast of the show and quite possibly will never let it down. Fans of Auburn and the Pac-12 Conference may not have a ton in common but they can all laugh together at this hilarious clip.
