On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Auburn trending for 2024 safety Kaleb Harris
Auburn lost a blue-chip pledge earlier this week as Ellaville (Ga.) Schley County four-star athlete Jalewis Solomon decommitted from the Tigers.
The loss of the Peach State prospect leaves Hugh Freeze and the Tigers with 17 commits in their 2024 recruiting class — which ranks No. 16 in the nation, per the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking.
However, The Tigers are already trending to bring that pledge number back up to 17, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). Following multiple predictions logged by Auburn recruiting insiders, AU has a hefty chance to land Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson three-star safety Kaleb Harris.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Harris has made three trips to the Plains and is expected to return for a visit next weekend when the Tigers host Ole Miss at Jordan-Hare Stadium, according to Auburn Live’s Jeffrey Lee. Both Lee and fellow AU recruiting insider Cole Pinkston have placed RPM picks in favor of the Tigers.
Harris is the No. 643 overall prospect and No. 68 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 31 player in Alabama.
“Harris made a quiet visit to Auburn on March 24. He was not on any preliminary lists as he is not one to announce his moves,” Pinkston wrote back in April. “He was also at Auburn’s junior day in January. Auburn has a commanding lead in the On3 RPM as he has visited there the most (that we know of). He continues to do so.

Auburn in the hunt for multiple prospects down the stretch
Harris is one of many 2024 prospects that the Tigers remain heavily in the mix for as Freeze tries to make the push for a top-10 class. Auburn is also currently trending in the On3 RPM for McDonough (Ga.) Eagle’s Landing Christian three-star offensive tackle Favour Edwin.
The Tigers are a finalist for Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland elite four-star defensive lineman LJ McCray, who is set to announce his decision on Oct. 21. Flipping Picayune (Miss.) Memorial four-star EDGE and Florida commit Jamonta Waller, as well as Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County three-star IOL and Stanford commit Kahlil House also remain on the docket.
Auburn’s class features three top-100 in-state commits: Foley (Ala.) five-star wide receiver Perry Thompson, Clanton (Ala.) Chilton County four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick and Tuskegee (Ala.) Booker T Washington four-star LB Joseph Phillips.
Harris would become the fifth defensive back committed to the Tigers. Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview CB Jalyn Crawford, Alabaster (Ala.) Moody CB A’Mon Lane and Anniston (Ala.) CB Jayden Lewis are each four-stars, while Naples (Fla.) safety Kensley Faustin checks in as a three-star commit.
