On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favors Auburn for Austin Ausberry
Decision day has arrived for On3 Consensus four-star safety Austin Ausberry of Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab.
The 6-foot, 196-pound Ausberry is scheduled to announce his commitment between Auburn and LSU at 1:45 p.m. ET on Monday. It’s a decision that is expected to be for the Auburn Tigers, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
The RPM gives Auburn a 90.5% chance of landing Austin Ausberry. LSU has a 3% chance, according to the RPM.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine was released to the public last week. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

When he visited Auburn earlier this fall, Ausberry said he was blown away by the atmosphere.
“It exceeded my expectations,” he said. “The campus was extraordinarily nice. Auburn has always been big time, but to be in that historic place, that historic program was eye-opening.”
LSU did what it could to sway Ausberry on an official visit this past weekend, but all indications are that it did not move the needle enough to sway home to stay home.
Austin Ausberry is ranked as the No. 266 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The On3 Consensus also ranks Ausberry as the No. 28 corner in the country and the No. 14 player in Louisiana. On3 ranks Ausberry as the No. 63 corner in the country.
