LOOK: Rara Thomas hints at potential destination with social media post with Hugh Freeze
Former Mississippi State receiver Rara Thomas is still making visits to programs around the country, trying to find his destination for the 2023 season. Since entering the transfer portal, Thomas has visited a handful of teams, including the Auburn Tigers. And recently, from his social media account, the sophomore wideout shared a picture of him and recently hired Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze.
There might not be much that could be made out of Thomas taking a photo with a coach potentially trying to recruit him. Earlier on his recruiting trip, he also took a family photo with Mississippi State rival, Ole Miss, head coach Lane Kiffin. Or, this could signal that the Tigers and Rebels are head and shoulders above the rest with it comes to recruiting him so far. But with Auburn being in Thomas’s home state of Alabama, they might just have taken the lead from Ole Miss in this recruiting race.
Thomas is the No. 19 overall wide receiver available in the portal, according to the On3 Transfer Portal Player Rankings.

Track transfer portal activity
The NCAA Transfer Portal, which covers every NCAA sport at the Division I, II and III levels, is a private database with names of student-athletes who wish to transfer. It is not accessible to the public.
While the NCAA transfer portal database is private, the On3 Network has streamlined the reporting process tracking player movement.
