Report: Former Toledo OL Vinny Sciury to visit Auburn

Former Toledo offensive guard Vinny Sciury is expected to take an official visit to Auburn this weekend, according to Auburn247’s Christian Clemente.

Sciury played high school football at Perry (OH) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 2,176 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

He started multiple years for the Rockets and finished 2023 as PFF’s No. 12-rated pass-blocker in the country and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Sciury joins former Georgia State wide receiver Robert Lewis, who finished the 2023 season with 70 receptions for 877 yards and seven touchdowns. He had a long of 97 yards. He will also one year of eligibility remaining as a redshirt senior.

The duo are the first two transfers to commit to Hugh Freeze’s program as the Tigers transition to the offseason. Auburn finished 6-6 and was invited to the Music City Bowl in Nashville, TN.
