Of all the football games in the history of the American version of the sport, Missouri vs. Auburn was certainly one of them. A run of 12 straight punts in the second half eventually led to an overtime with both teams tied at 14-apiece.
Auburn kicked a field goal on their first possession, then Missouri took over. It only took them two plays to reach the end zone. However, as Missouri running back Nathaniel Peat attempted to reached across the goal line after dashing 20 yards around the edge, the ball slipped from his fingers and rollled into the end zone where Auburn recovered to end the game and secure a bizarre 17-14 overtime win.
Take a look at this insane play to end a wild afternoon on the Plains.
It will be hard to find a stranger ending or game than this one in Week 4.
Robby Ashford goes out then back in for Auburn
After a productive first half, Auburn starting quarterback Robby Ashford went out with an apparent arm injury. Ashford, who was already starting in place of two other injured Tigers quarterbacks in a must-win game for coach Bryan Harsin, seemed to hurt himself while throwing a block.

Tough luck for the Tigers. Already down their two other starting options, it was nice to see Ashford flash a little bit in the first half. But now he’s down too. Before leaving, Ashford was 8-9 on passes for 79 yards. He also had 12 carries for 43 yards, including a touchdown.
However, after Missouri booted the ball back to Auburn with roughly 12 minutes left in the game and the score still tied at 14-14, Tigers starting quarterback Robby Ashford re-entered the game.
