2024 safety Joshua Lair commits to Baylor Bears
Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall three-star safety Joshua Lair has committed to Baylor.
He chose the in-state Bears after getting released from his National Letter of Intent with Washington in January.
Lair is the No. 530 overall prospect and No. 50 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 87 player in Texas.
Dave Aranda and the Bears picked up a welcomed late addition to the 2024 class. Baylor was in the running for Lair’s pledge last summer, as it had him on campus for an official visit in June. Now, eight months later, he’s set to head to Waco.

Lair joins a light 2024 class for the Bears — which headed into National Signing Day with just 12 signees. Greenville (Miss.) St. Joseph four-star defensive lineman Alex Foster is the highest-ranked commit in the class, checking in at No. 393 overall.
Lair is also the third defensive back to join the class, as he now flanks Arlington (Texas) Bowie three-star safety Kristopher Wokomah and Comanche (Texas) three-star cornerback Kyler Beaty.
