2024 Top-15 big man Yves Missi commits to Baylor
Yves Missi, one of the top big men in the class of 2024, has committed to Baylor.
The 6-foot-11, 225-pound center out of Napa (CA) Prolific Prep ultimately chose the Bears over Texas and Stanford. He also received offers from UConn, Ohio State, Michigan, UCLA, Kansas, Indiana, Alabama, and others.
Missi is the third player to commit to Scott Drew in the class of 2024, joining four-star wing Jason Asemota (No. 14) and four-star point guard Robert Wright (No. 62).
According to the On3 Consensus, Missi ranks as the No. 13 overall prospect in the country. The On3 Consensus is the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies (ESPN, 247Sports, Rivals, On3).
Missi on his commitment to Baylor
“I chose Baylor because I think it’s the best place for me to develop my skills and be the best version of myself,” Missi said to On3. “I have an amazing relationship with the coaching staff, the style of play is exactly what I’m looking for and most importantly it feels like home. It’s a place where I can reach my goal which is to get to the league.”
What type of player is Baylor getting in Yves Missi, in his own words?
“Someone who is willing to do everything he can to win the game, a good teammate, and a hard worker.”

Missi has a message for Bears fans.
“I just wanna give a big shout-out to all the Baylor fans out there who went crazy on social media. You guys are amazing and hearing from y’all is the best feeling in the world.”
Missi could reclassify to 2023
There have been serious talks of Missi reclassifying for quite some time now. This means he has the option to forgo his senior year of high school and make the transition into the 2023 class, after completing the necessary credits. He would then be eligible to play for the Bears beginning next college season.
However, if the move to 2023 is made, it won’t come until after the AAU season, which concludes in July.
