Baylor Football reveals three new uniform combinations for 2024 season
The 2024 football season will feature a brand new version of the Big 12 as well as new uniforms for the Baylor Bears, who announced their updated wardrobe on Tuesday morning.
The Baylor Football Twitter account tweeted out a video showing off the fresh look. It included all-green, all-white and all-yellow jersey combinations. You can see that post and the uniforms right here:
This is the first full uniform overhaul for the Bears since 2019. This update is pretty slick, with mostly monochromatic schemes aside from the triple stripe on either sleeve that includes separate matching helmets for each.
Baylor adds new ACC foe to schedule
Baylor and SMU have agreed to a home-and-home series on the gridiron, the two programs have announced. Separated by 100 miles, the Bears will travel up I-35 to Dallas on Sept. 6, 2025, while a return trip to Waco is set for Sept. 19, 2026.
Now a power conference matchup between Big 12 and ACC programs, two former Lone Star State rivals will write another chapter in the matchup’s history.
SMU said in their statement breaking news of the future series:
“DALLAS (SMU) – SMU football has added a pair of non-conference matchups with Baylor for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, it was announced on Tuesday. The Mustangs will host the Bears on Sept. 6, 2025 at Ford Stadium. SMU will return the trip to Waco, with Baylor hosting on Sept. 19, 2026 at McLane Stadium. The Mustangs and Bears last played in 2016.”

With the addition of SMU, Baylor is set to face 11 power conference opponents during the 2025 and 2026 seasons. A home-and-home series is scheduled against Auburn, with the first game taking place at McLane Stadium.
On the flip side, there will be another in-state rivalry for SMU to worry about during the 2025 season. Potentially the final Iron Skillet matchup for some time against TCU is set to take place in Fort Worth two weeks after hosting Baylor.
Per FB Schedules, the 2026 matchup is the first non-conference game SMU has confirmed as they transition into the ACC. For Baylor, it marks at least the 10th power conference opponents they will play that season in addition to the nine Big 12 teams on their yearly conference slate.
The Bears certainly aren’t shying away from competition as the Big 12 grows stronger and will even challenge themselves outside of the league.
