Baylor reveals new all-grey uniform alongside previous reveal
The Baylor Bears football program recently unveiled its new uniform sets for the upcoming 2024 season, which have a bit more of a traditional look. However, the bears were not finished showing off their new threads for this year, as they recently unveiled an alternative colorway with a more modern, sleek look.
Baylor took to social media to unveil their new smoke-grey uniforms for 2024. The Bears athletic department did so with a height video and a few stills highlighting the details of the unis. Both can be seen below.
These smoke-grey uniforms are accented with a touch of black and grey on the jersey. That allows the lettering, numbers, and logo to pop vibrantly as they are all in university gold. As for the green, there doesn’t appear to be any directly on the helmet, jersey, or pants, but the Nike check of the game gloves does sport the other school color.
Baylor Football released a video earlier in the week showing off the fresh look, which included all-green, all-white, and all-yellow jersey combinations. You can see that post and the uniforms right here:
This is the first full uniform overhaul for the Bears since 2019. This update is pretty slick, with mostly monochromatic schemes aside from the triple stripe on either sleeve that includes separate matching helmets for each.

Baylor adds new ACC foe to schedule
Baylor and SMU have agreed to a home-and-home series on the gridiron, the two programs have announced. Separated by 100 miles, the Bears will travel up I-35 to Dallas on Sept. 6, 2025, while a return trip to Waco is set for Sept. 19, 2026.
Now a power conference matchup between Big 12 and ACC programs, two former Lone Star State rivals will write another chapter in the matchup’s history.
SMU said in their statement breaking news of the future series:
“DALLAS (SMU) – SMU football has added a pair of non-conference matchups with Baylor for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, it was announced on Tuesday. The Mustangs will host the Bears on Sept. 6, 2025 at Ford Stadium. SMU will return the trip to Waco, with Baylor hosting on Sept. 19, 2026 at McLane Stadium. The Mustangs and Bears last played in 2016.”
With the addition of SMU, Baylor will face 11 power conference opponents during the 2025 and 2026 seasons. A home-and-home series against Auburn is scheduled, with the first game taking place at McLane Stadium.
