Baylor running back Qualan Jones has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.

The 5-foot-10, 242-pound back was dismissed from the team before the 2023 season began for an off-the-field issue. He had previously spent four years with the Bears.

During his most productive season in 2022, Jones racked up 462 yards rushing and seven touchdowns.

In total in his four-year playing career, Jones accounted for 689 yards rushing and nine touchdowns. He also caught 37 passes for 192 yards.

Prior to enrolling at Baylor, Qualan Jones was a three-star prospect and the No. 529 overall player in the 2019 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He also checked in as the No. 42 running back in the class and the No. 62 overall player from the state of Texas, hailing from Cedar Hill (TX) Trinity Christian School.
