Ohio transfer OL Kurt Danneker commits to Baylor Bears
Ohio transfer offensive lineman Kurt Danneker committed to the Baylor Bears on Friday evening. He announced the move on his Twitter page. He was one of the more highly coveted offensive lineman prospects in the transfer portal this offseason.
Ranked as one of the best interior offensive linemen still available in the portal, he graded out as a top 30 offensive guard this season, according to Pro Football Focus. In 445 pass-blocking snaps with the Bobcats this year, the 6-foot-4, 332-pound lineman allowed a sack, two hits and nine hurries. In 2022, he started in 11 games, helping the offense average 31.7 points per game and 421 yards per game, while scoring 54 touchdowns.
Before joining Ohio, he played offensive and defensive line for Williamsport Area High School (Williamsport, Pennsylvania). There, he was named a 2016 6A All-American and a Blue-Grey All-American. Danneker also guided them to a 6A District Championship and a Conference Championship his junior year with a 12-2 record.
