Halloween is Sunday, so Baylor decided to bull a play out of its bag of tricks for its first touchdown of the day against Texas. Baylor quarterback Gerry Bohanon took the initial snap before handing it off to running back Trestan Ebner. Ebner then flipped the ball to receiver Tyquan Thornton, who was running towards the middle of the field.

Thornton, still behind the line of scrimmage, then found R.J. Sneed wide open in the back of the end zone for a six-yard touchdown strike. The game tied things up at 7-7.

The trick play touchdown capped an 11 play, 75-yard drive for Baylor. An early interception from Bohanon led to the first points of the game by Texas. Texas quarterback Casey Thompson threw a 10-yard touchdown to give Texas the lead over Baylor less than three minutes in the game.
