Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star recruit Jayden Hastings has committed to Boston College.

Hastings, a 6-foot-9 class of 2023 power forward, ultimately chose the Eagles over USF and UCF. He also received offers from Miami, USC, Florida, Clemson, among others.

The Orlando native is Boston College’s second commitment to the class. He joins three-star guard Fred Payne.

Hastings on his commitment to Boston College

“Ultimately, I chose Boston College because of the relationship I have with the coaches,” Hastings said to On3. “When me and coach Earl (Grant) talk, it’s never just a quick conversation. We talk about life and he’s someone I can put my trust in and someone I can play for. The players on the team are close and I can play with them. When I went up to Boston, I really liked the city it was nice.”

What type of player is Boston College getting in Jayden Hastings?

“A hard working and someone that loves the game,” he says. “I’ll bring defense and rebounding. I’m still working on offense and my post game. I just want to do whatever I can for the team.”
