BYU edge rusher Aisea Moa enters NCAA transfer portal
BYU edge rusher Aisea Moa has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. He spent the past three seasons with the Cougars and will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
Moa had the best season of his college career this past year as he appeared in 12 games with one start. He finished with 16 total tackles and a forced fumble.
Moa played high school football at Weber (UT), where he was a four-star prospect in the 2022 class. He ranked as the No. 377 overall player and No. 36 edge rusher in the cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Moa ranks as the No. 81 edge rusher in the transfer portal according to On3’s Transfer Portal Player Rankings. He was also recruited out of high school by Utah, where his father, Ben, is a former tight end. That could be a team to keep an eye on as he looks to make a move elsewhere.

Moa is the eighth player from BYU to enter the transfer portal. The Cougars have also added one player, former Utah tight end Carsen Ryan.
The transfer portal officially opened Dec. 7 and will remain open until Dec. 28, though players on teams still playing in the postseason will get an additional five-day window to enter the portal after their seasons end.
