Bountiful (Utah) four-star safety Faletau Satuala has committed to BYU.

He chose the Cougars over UCLA and Utah on Saturday at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio.

Satuala is the No. 378 overall prospect and No. 36 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in Utah.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder took an official visit to Provo in June. BYU fended off Utah for the in-state prospect and now have their second blue-chip recruit in the 2024 cycle.

“Utah put up a fight early, but BYU is, and had been, the team to beat for Faletau Satuala,” On3’s Chad Simmons wrote earlier this week. “He visited BYU officially in June before returning for games in the fall. The staff in Provo has had Satuala a top priority from the beginning.”
