Las Vegas RB Cale Breslin commits to BYU
Las Vegas (Nev.) Faith Lutheran running back Cale Breslin announced his commitment to BYU on Friday afternoon.
“I chose BYU for a bunch of different reasons,” Breslin told On3. “One of the biggest reasons is Coach Harvey Unga. He’s been recruiting me for a while and has believed in me since day one. I can trust Coach Unga 100 percent to develop me. He has a winning mindset, has been very consistent with me since the beginning and doesn’t play games. He has a track record of putting guys in the NFL, and he’s an honest person who is down to earth and just gets it.
“I also appreciate the Offensive Coordinator, Coach Roderick, and his belief in me. During the recruiting process, sometimes the position coach may like you more than the other coaches, but it’s different when the entire staff believes in you, and I’m thankful for that. This entire staff wants to win and knows how to develop players for the NFL and life.”
Breslin becomes commit No. 4 for BYU in the 2025 cycle.
“Also, the BYU culture and fan base are elite. I talked to many different schools, and the way the BYU administration supports all athletes is on another level.

“Another great bonus is being close to my parents in Las Vegas. There are many daily nonstop flights to Salt Lake City, so they can easily get up there, and it’s nice to know that I can fly home easily.
“I’m also thankful for the academic side of things at BYU, and I know I’ll be supported from all angles when it comes to academics, which is important to me.”
As a junior Breslin rushed 184 times for 1,226 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also had 224 yards receiving and another score.
